Human Resource Consultant & Development

Doug Jakubik

 

 

Doug is how he is because of the people he has choosen to work with and associate with.  Doug's HR experiences are based on caring about how people are managed in the work place.  From the employers side he directs compliance and on the employee side he seeks to develop the best in each person he meets.   Doug has gathered some of the best team members to enhance J&D Consultings market appeal.  After 22 years in the USAF he learned from the begining what team-manship is all about.  Those skills and experiences in the USAF enhanced his belief in people.  This includes the use of humaneering and work designs that include human elements of behavior above and beyond present day management systems that only consider the efficient use of machines and systems.

 

Doug is maried to JoAnn Jakubik, he has two daughters.  They are married with 3 great grandkids.  Doug retired from the USAF in 1988 as a CMSgt (E-9).  His last assignment was the B1-B bomb wing at Dyess AFB, Texas.  Doug works with Fields of Faith, a mission group that plants churches in the Czech Republic.

ATRIVU has designed a revolutionary Immersive Learning platform not unlike a flight simulator (the ultimate in immersive training) that couples the vision of asymmetric non-linear learning via our synthetic MHP (Model of Human Performance) with our “Evolving Cognitive Animation” component.

 

This platform incorporates ATRIVU’s Synthetic Intelligence Solution (ASIS) as its cornerstone component which acts as an “applied AI – Neural Network” utilizing artificial intelligence, neural networks, ontology, fuzzy logic, business rules, instant communications, real-time sensor control & management, data mining, data fusion, cognitive applications, and visual human engineering. The remaining MYOGY components/Engines include: Cognitive Animation Engine, Voice Driven Animation Engine, Scenario Generator Engine, and a Virtual Experience Library Engine.

 

During his military career, Steve  solidified his standing as an expert of both ground and airborne radar systems to include the AN/TPS 43, AN/TPS 75, and the AN/APY-1/2 AWACS radar.  He was lauded for his knowledge of data link architecture & operability, to include Tactical Data Information Link (TADIL) the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS), Interim JTIDS message specification (IJMS), and TADIL-J, as well as Identification Friend or Foe [IFF] procedures, and FAA radar and control systems, and Air Traffic Control requirements.

 

Following his highly decorated Air Force career, Steve stepped out of the officer ranks and into the civilian world, where he has been recognized as a multifaceted management professional with a history of departmental leadership, results oriented and operational development for a diverse group of industries.

 

Technically astute with proven ability to design, direct and execute E-based and traditional solutions that consistently solve problems while fueling revenue growth.  Recognized as an expert communicator, confident presenter and skilled idea generator, he has become a sought after consultant working with such companies as AT&T, El Paso Energy, Intuit, Ernst & Young, Canon, Cap Gemini, Cigna, and United Health Group, and Intuit.

 

His business acumen has been shared in the academic arena as an Adjunct college instructor, focusing on Principles of Management covering analysis of fundamental management principles integrated with concepts of the behavioral sciences, and Critical Thinking covering theoretical and practical approaches to understanding human communications and the solving of problems with emphasis on the enhancement of reasoning and argumentation skills.

 

Steve has been happily married for 30 years to his wife Julie.  They have 3 daughters and two grandchildren.  Steve holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Change and Development from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelors Degree (University Honors) in Education from Southern Illinois University.

Dean’s relational equity with clients including Boeing, Honeywell, Indyne, Inc., General Dynamics, BAE, Distributors such as Anixter Corporation, Graybar, Computer Supply Corporation, Rexel USA, and End-users like Walt Disney World, multiple Universities, Municipalities, and multiple State Departments of Transportation, and manufacturers like AXIS Communications, Panasonic, and Sony.  With strengths in leadership and team building he motivates both staff and clients while improving customer satisfaction and retention, especially on high-profile, high-stress engagements.

 

He has delivered consistent revenue growth while boosting margins of key product offerings for startups and growth phases of well-regarded technology and manufacturing organizations, such as Fast Access America, FAST Video Security, Gateway Computers, DIGIOP Technologies, PC OPEN / OpenEye, and Optelecom-NKF.
